From one of the wonders of modern architecture, Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, to Madrid’s vast and majestic 18th century Royal Palace, Spain is a treasure chest of wonders. Explore one of Spain’s best kept secrets on this trip that begins in the north where you can discover the Basque Country with a visit to Bilbao and the seaside town of San Sebastián.
On the way south to Madrid, enjoy the vistas and vineyards of the Rioja Region and the historic city of Segovia with its Roman ruins and medieval old town. Then on to the bustling metropolis of Madrid, a city of splendor and a showcase for some of the most famous artists of the Western World. Highlights include a visit to its Royal Castle and the famous Prado Museum.
